ACTIVE SURVEILLANCE IN A NUTSHELL

Active Surveillance is a method of closely monitoring prostate cancer instead of moving straight to treatment. For many men, it is the safest option when the cancer appears to be low risk or otherwise suitable for careful follow-up.

TIME TO DECIDE

If you have low-risk prostate cancer, you usually have time to learn more, confirm the details, and make a thoughtful decision instead of rushing into treatment.

CAREFUL MONITORING

You're not ignoring your cancer. You're following a structured plan that may include PSA testing, imaging, doctor appointments, and biopsies over time.

TREAT ONLY IF NEEDED

The goal is to watch for meaningful change and move to treatment if it ever becomes necessary. Many men avoid or delay treatment and its unwanted side effects.
